Going forward: path to 0.4
Exciting news about new things added to Wasted and more!
Hello all, we are finally approaching version 0.4. Many things have changed but the focus was mainly on
improving physics. So let's review together what happened during these weeks.
ONFOSS
Before diving deeper into what changed I would like to tell you a bit about how the ONFOSS event went.
It was a valuable opportunity to test the game with at least 8 players. We discovered a couple of bugs too.
First of all: Windows release that was always working in the VM, misbehaved and didn't work at all on a Windows player's
machine.
Second: we discovered a bug that occurs while trying to fetch a custom server and the local search has not finished yet.
Bugs aside, everybody had fun :).

Handbrake
We added an handbrake feature modifying the drifting in stk. Cars can use handbrake to drift and we
even added a smoke visual effect if you do it! We also added some pitch randomizer to the drifting sound so each time you drift,
the sound isn't always the same.
Physics
The physics part was about enhancing collisions and making driving a car much more fun. Now cars springs are reacting more and
subjected to turn force and they absorb shocks better when they jump. So the result is much more similar to real life.
Collisions were drastically improved as well and now cars don't fly away towards the space. They are also subjected to angular
rotation if they are hit on the side.
Website
The website has now a new shiny download section. Many little improvements were also apported to articles readability and
other little fixes have been done.
Misc
- The executables were renamed to wasted (thanks Xavi92);
- Fixed bugs discovered from ONFOSS LAN;
- Much more bug fixing
Version 0.4 is almost ready to go! Expect a release in the next weeks :)
